If you want more then you’ll need to farm Juggernaut in the monster arena. This is the only monster that drops Strength Spheres, and you can’t steal or bribe them anywhere either. This four-horned foe likes to use strong physical attacks and instant-kill moves, so having a good defense (as well as Protect) along with Deathproof armor is just about required. Juggernaut can be inflicted with Armor Break, but only through Rikku’s Frag Grenades and Auron’s Banishing Blade Overdrive. This creature is unlocked at the Arena after capturing five of each Ruminant-type in Spira (the big beasts with the horns on their heads). There’s only three Ruminant-type fiends, but remember that you need x5 copies of each. Here’s the complete list of what you need to capture to unlock Juggernaut: – Dual Horn (Mi’ihen Highroad) – Grendel (Mt. Gagazet and Zanarkand Ruins) – Valaha (The Cavern of the Stolen Fayth, north of the Calm Lands)
What Are Strength Spheres Used For?
They turn any empty node on the Sphere Grid into a Strength +4. But after creating the node, you’ll need a Power Sphere to activate it. Using a Clear Sphere to change lesser Strength nodes into +4 will give you the best results. These can also be used in some of Rikku’s better mixes, such as: Super Mighty G (Chocobo Feather + Strength Sphere): Casts Protect, Shell, Haste, and Regen onto the whole party. Final Elixir (High Potion + Defense Sphere): Restores the party’s HP and MP to full, as well as cures all status ailments. Nega Bomb (Shadow Gem + Defense Sphere): Reduces enemy’s HP by ¾.
Are Strength Spheres Worth Farming?
A resounding yes. Strength is one of the most important attributes to max in Final Fantasy X. And it’s probably going to be the first stat that many players max out at 255 – specifically players going after the game’s superbosses. A maxed strength stat + a Celestial Weapon means that your character can, and will, deal 99999 damage with every strike – something that’s invaluable for not just the big baddies, but also for all the little stuff you’re going to have to farm along the way. Both Tidus and Wakka’s Overdrives are also capable of dealing multiple hits. Being able to deliver a flurry of hits with each strike dealing 99999 damage is an incredible sight – and a ton of fun.
