The company produced timeless pieces of art that shaped people’s childhood. Kids, adults, even grandparents would know the house that Mickey Mouse built. And it’s all because of these characters that made it worthwhile. Hop on the nostalgia train as we look into the absolute best Minecraft skins inspired by Disney.
1. Mickey Mouse
Check Out This Skin If Pokémon has Pikachu and McDonald’s has Ronald McDonalds, then Disney has Mickey Mouse. This 94-year-old rodent is the most recognizable character made by The Walt Disney Company and has been a mainstay in the entertainment industry since 1928. Get the most famous mouse in history with just one simple click.
2. Minnie Mouse
Check Out This Skin Even rats can get happily ever afters, especially for Disney’s mascots. Minnie Mouse is Mickey’s sweetheart for nearly a century, which is enough proof that their love story is better than Twilight and Titanic combined. Pair Mickey with this Minnie Mouse skin and reunite the dream team in Minecraft.
3. Donald Duck
Check Out This Skin When I was a kid who didn’t know any better, I didn’t like watching Donald Duck on screen. While all his friends are laidback and optimistic, Donald had serious anger management issues. It was only until recently that I realized that Donald is essentially every working adult who’s trying to survive in the world.
4. Goofy
Check Out This Skin Most would identify Goofy as Mickey’s clumsy best friend, but those who watched 1995’s A Goofy Movie would know he’s more than his given name. Raising a teenager is one of life’s most difficult challenges, but thanks to Goofy’s sunny disposition and unconditional love, he powered through all the teenage angst and managed to help his son get the girl of his dreams. Oh, and did I mention Goofy did this all by himself?
5. Winnie-the-Pooh
Check Out This Skin Before Cartoon Network’s We Bare Bears, there was Winnie-the-pooh – a yellow-furred bear who would stop at nothing in getting his piece of honey. He may be slow-paced and naive, but this bear knows what he wants, and he always gets them in the end. Not to mention, he’s freaking adorable and deserves all the honey in the world. Add Winnie-the-Pooh’s huggable appearance into your Minecraft server with this skin by ssly.
6. Woody
Check Out This Skin Want to have a loyal companion in Minecraft? Then meet the best cowboy in town: Woody! Even after being abducted, discarded, and replaced with a shinier new toy, Woody remained devoted to his owner, Andy. And throughout four movies, this sheriff demonstrated what it takes to be a leader and a toy worth keeping.
7. Buzz Lightyear
Check Out This Skin The Toy Story franchise introduced numerous lovable characters, with Buzz Lightyear being my favorite among the bunch. While Woody has a vintage appearance, Buzz has a contrasting futuristic look that boasts a series of buttons and a shiny helmet. Equip your Minecraft character with an attire fit for a famed Space Ranger from the Galactic Alliance.
8. Little Green Man
Check Out This Skin I’d like to think that if ever aliens do exist, I hope they look as cute (and unthreatening) as Toy Story’s Little Green Men. The LGMs have green skin, three eyes, and a blue jumpsuit that bores a Pizza Planet logo from which they originated. It’s a stereotypical appearance for an extraterrestrial being, but I’d prefer this to a Xenomorph.
9. Peter Pan
Check Out This Skin Being an immortal teenager with the power of flight sounds like a blessing and a curse at the same time. Sure, you stay forever young and get to fly, but you’re also stuck in a neverending stage of puberty. Having to live through that with a pirate as a nemesis isn’t exactly a fairytale. Yet, Peter Pan still makes me hopeful for a trip to Neverland.
10. Tinker Bell
Check Out This Skin For all his bravado, Peter Pan wouldn’t be able to live out his long life without Tinker Bell. This feisty fairy is the source of Peter’s ability to fly and has supported him in all his reckless adventures. She may be tiny, but having a fairy sidekick is better than none at all.
11. Genie
Check Out This Skin Genie’s scenes in 1992’s Aladdin were undoubtedly the best parts of the film. Robin Williams gave such a phenomenal performance that Will Smith never really stood a chance in the remake. Let’s pay tribute to one of the best Disney characters of all time with this custom design from NoSCopernicus.
12. Cruella De Vil
Check Out This Skin As someone who loves her dog more than her family members, Cruella De Vil is the biggest baddie in Disney’s catalog of villains. The fact that she thinks it’s a sane idea to skin Dalmatian puppies proves that the devil wears fur instead of Prada. With that said, I won’t deny that Cruella might be the best-dressed Disney antagonist ever introduced. And with this skin it’s never been easier to copy Cruella De Vil’s luxurious ensemble – which includes a long black dress, white fur coat, red gloves, and her signature two-toned hairstyle.
13. Elsa
Check Out This Skin I think we could all agree that 2013 was the Year of Elsa. This year marked the release of Frozen, which heralded an onslaught of “Let It Go” covers and Elsa Halloween costumes. Yet, almost a decade after the premiere, the Snow Queen’s still here to chill at her throne.
14. Rapunzel
Check Out This Skin Disney princesses rarely get a good upbringing, but Rapunzel had it way worse than the others. Imagine being locked up in a tower, forbidden to cut your own hair until it’s seventy feet long – that’s tough. But, no matter how cruel her captor was, at least she gave Rapunzel a nice dress and good hair treatment. Download this skin from Akemi187 to score that magical golden hair and beautiful purple dress.
15. Ariel
Check Out This Skin Like any other kid who watched The Little Mermaid, I had a phase where becoming a half-fish half-human hybrid was all I could think about. In contrast, Ariel wanted a part of our world: a chance to jump and dance on two legs when all we want to do is sleep all day. Ariel doesn’t know any better, especially since her mermaid princess ensemble looks way more desirable than human ones.
16. Snow White
Check Out This Skin I remember watching Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on VHS and ignoring the fact that a stranger kissed a girl while she’s asleep in the middle of a forest. What’s more disturbing is that her stepmother wanted Snow White’s heart in a box once she’s killed. If you think about it, Snow White is a badass for surviving an assassination attempt – just like this skin from creator Elpidaion.
17. Cinderella
Check Out This Skin When thinking about “Disney princess” you’ll most likely think about Cinderella first. She doesn’t have the most relatable story, but her journey to meeting Prince Charming and eventually winning in life is a dream we’re all familiar with. Not everyone gets to have a Fairy Godmother. But skin creator akeiji has given us something magical in their own right.
18. Mulan
Check Out This Skin In terms of achievements, no Disney princess can hold a candle to Mulan. She went to war in place of her father, trained alongside other warriors, and eventually saved all of China. Until now, watching the scene where people bowed down to Mulan in gratitude still gives me goosebumps.
19. Moana
Check Out This Skin Like Mulan, Moana also saved a lot of people from impending doom. Unlike Mulan, though, Moana had to face off against gods. But, since this is a Disney movie, everyone didn’t die, and Moana was able to save her people by convincing them to island-hop.
20. Sora (Kingdom Hearts)
Check Out This Skin Imagine blending the universes of Disney and Final Fantasy into one – that’s what Kingdom Hearts is. And at the heart of the franchise is Sora, a teenager with Cloud Strife hair who wields a giant key as a sword. And we even have our own separate list of KH-inspired skins if you want even more from this franchise.
21. Pinocchio
Check Out This Skin We all know Pinocchio, a puppet who wishes to become a real boy if proven worthy by the Blue Fairy. But, when you’re a gullible and over-trusting puppet who suddenly came back to life, that’s easier said than done. In the end, though, Pinocchio got what he wanted and left an important message for audiences: never talk to strangers, and oh, lying is bad.
22. Mirabel
Check Out This Skin Encanto, hands down, is one of Disney’s best movies so far. This movie got me bopping, smiling, and sobbing at 3 AM, and it’s all because Mirabel’s life story hits too close to home. See what’s so special about this miracle girl by bringing her into Minecraft.
23. Isabela
Check Out This Skin Next in line is Family Madrigal’s golden child and Mirabel’s older sister, Isabela. She can grow flowers, create slow-motion entrances, and wake up with no bed hair. In other words, she was perfect until Mirabel helped her realize she shouldn’t be.
24. Dolores
Check Out This Skin No one knows better than Dolores on what happens within Casa Madrigal. Why? Because Dolores, Family Madrigal’s resident gossip, is gifted with enhanced hearing. But, having to hear every squeak and whine inside a family of twelve must be more of a curse than a blessing, though.
25. Jack Sparrow
Check Out This Skin Before Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl came on the big screen, the only pirate I ever bothered to remember was Captain Hook. Then there came Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow who charmed a worldwide audience with his drunken swagger, braided dreads, and savvy personality. Commandeer your very own pirate captain in Minecraft and never look back.
26. Sulley
Check Out This Skin Monsters, Inc. wasn’t my favorite Disney flick growing up, mainly because it made me believe there are monsters not just under my bed, but on the other side of the door. But, despite monsters profiteering from children’s screams, Sulley’s redemption arc drove the story into becoming one of Disney’s finest. From top scarer to becoming Boo’s protector, Sulley showed everyone that even monsters could change for the better.
27. Hercules
Check Out This Skin In 1997’s Hercules, we got to meet Disney’s version of the famous Greek god as he yearned to earn a place in Olympus to be with his family. After a musical solo in the first half of the film, Hercules went on a journey to become a true hero – eventually beating the Titans and Hades all by himself. Skin designer Xting1195 gave us a brilliant creation here – so you can turn your character into the (dorky) god we all know and love.
28. Maleficent
Check Out This Skin Angelina Jolie may have humanized Maleficent back in 2014, but she will always be the evil green fairy who cursed a baby at birth. Who does that to a newborn? That’s just pure evil right there (if her name wasn’t an indication enough).
29. Hiro Hamada
Check Out This Skin If I had half the brain of Hiro Hamada from Big Hero 6, I would’ve made a fortune by now. Instead, he used his wits and intellect to gather a team of superheroes and save a city. Not bad for a fourteen-year-old genius.
30. Baymax
Check Out This Skin Hiro’s brother did the world a favor by creating Baymax, an inflatable healthcare robot programmed to assist anyone at the sound of “Ow!” This huge huggable balloon made people fall in love with it for its devotion to helping Hiro recover from the death of his brother. It went above and beyond what it was programmed to do, making Baymax the best companion anyone would hope to have.
