The ambitious and somewhat narcissistic nature of Tony Stark gives Iron Man a unique anti-heroic edge missing from many one-dimensional superheroes like Superman and Captain America. While Batman or Superman could probably pacify Los Santos in a matter of days, Iron Man is the only super-human I can picture taking the bull by the horns and actually enjoying his time in this semi-tropical region. There are perks to having an Arc Reactor stuck to your chest – and these mods will let you make the most of it in Los Santos.
1. Iron Man (MCU) Pack
Check Out This Mod We’ll kick things off with a basic mod that might have everything you’re looking for. The Iron Man (MCU) Pack brings together fully-rigged, highly-detailed skins of Tony Stark and some of his most famous Iron Man suits. Skins include several different outfits for Tony – casual, black tie, athleisure, and more – along with the Mark II, Mark III, and Mark XVII “Heartbreaker” Iron Man armors. This mod should give you everything needed to roleplay as Tony Stark in Los Santos.
2. Iron Man MK 50 (Infinity War)
Check Out This Mod The Mark II, Mark III and Mark XVII armors are all classics, but the sophisticated and sleek styling of newer models can’t be understated. Years of designing superhero armor have made Tony Stark a more skilled craftsman in the technical sense and the style department. By the time Avengers: Infinity War (2018) rolled around, Tony was basically the Steve Jobs of superhero armor – and the Mark 50 was his iPhone. It served him well to fight Thanos, and it’ll be just as good for fighting off the LSPD.
3. Rescue Armor (Pepper Potts)
Check Out This Mod Before the Mark 50 came the Mark 49 – also known as the Rescue Armor. This unique silver-and-blue armor is worn by Pepper Potts during the Battle of Earth in Avengers: Endgame, where she uses it to wipe the floor with Thanos’ forces. It’s featured front and center during that infamous #GRLPWR scene. In the comics, the “Rescue” armor was always red-and-gold, but this alternative color scheme suits Pepper like a ring – and it looks fantastic in Grand Theft Auto 5. This somewhat police-like color palette also makes the armor perfect to use along with police life mods like LSPD: First Response.
4. Metallic Hulkbuster (Avengers: Endgame)
Check Out This Mod Another iconic Iron Man suit from the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the Mark 44 “Hulkbuster,” created with the sole objective of restraining The Hulk if he went berserk. The logic here seems to be fighting fire with fire, as the Hulkbuster has the perfect size to be armor for Hulk rather than an anti-Hulk defense measure. It’s also about as merchandisable as the Green Goliath, which is why it ultimately made it into the movies. If you thought the Hulk vs. Iron Man duel in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) was cool, you’ll have a ton of fun causing comparable amounts of destruction with this GTA 5 add-on.
5. War Machine MK2 & MK3
Check Out This Mod One of my all-time favorite Iron Man off-shoots is War Machine, the US Army version of The Armored Avenger. War Machine is what happens when you give Lockheed Martin an old Iron Man suit and tell them to get it up to speed. They can’t improve the systems or finer parts without Tony’s genius, but they can load it full of weapons like a mini Gatling gun mounted on the shoulder. Due to the violent nature of Los Santos and how normalized armed conflict is among its citizens, the high-caliber War Machine seems like the perfect match for this lawless city. This mod includes two versions of the armor, Mark II and Mark III, as seen in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) and Captain America: Civil War (2016), respectively.
6. Iron Man Gemini
Check Out This Mod Fans of space sci-fi will love the Mark 39, a unique Iron Man suit designed for suborbital flight. The Gemini (or Starboost) has many adaptations that make these extreme conditions less taxing on the wearer. These include a dark visor to protect the user from the Sun and small boosters all over the body to control zero-g movement. If you took away the Arc Reactor and told me this was a spacesuit from Mass Effect: Andromeda (2017), I wouldn’t think twice about it. I don’t know if that’s a good thing from an Iron Man perspective, but it means the designer did a great job capturing the whole “space exploration” feel.
7. Superior Iron Man
Check Out This Mod One of the most epic versions of Iron Man ever created is the evil supervillain version of Tony Stark, known as Superior Iron Man. This bizarro Iron Man came into existence during the Inversion – an event in AXIS comics where many major characters got their personalities, well, inverted. Even after the crisis was solved and the world was saved, evil genius Tony Stark protected his evil personality for a longer time thanks to his genius. It was the birth of a new supervillain. Superior Iron Man wears a unique Symbiote-based psionic armor with the same color palette as a PlayStation 5, which you can try out in Los Santos thanks to this mod.
8. Fortnite Iron Man
Check Out This Mod Since its original release in 2017, Fortnite has become the ultimate crossover FPS, surpassing even Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (2018) in the width of its scope. Fortnite lets players experience surreal shootouts where an anime character like Goku frantically builds a fortress as a real-life celeb like Ariana Grande tries to blow them up with an RPG. There are plenty of Marvel characters in Fortnite. This includes our favorite playboy super-genius Tony Stark, clad in the stylish Model 37 “Bleeding Edge” armor from the comics. It’s one of my favorite Iron Man armors, and the 3D artists at Epic Games totally nailed it.
9. Ironheart Armor Model 2
Check Out This Mod After Tony Stark’s untimely passing – whether by Captain Marvel’s hand in the comics or sacrificing himself to stop Thanos in the MCU – the Iron Man legacy was left up in the air. Eventually, a genius young girl from Chicago would rise to claim it. Riri Williams brought a unique perspective and youthful energy to the Iron Man role. She named herself Ironheart and, with the help of a Tony Stark AI, developed the Ironheart Armor Model 2 – continuing the visual legacy of the Iron Man Armor Model 51. This mod features the Ironheart Armor Model 2 with several weapon systems seen in Marvel Future Fight (2015).
10. Iron Man Endgame Script
Check Out This Mod Looking the part is vital to carrying on the Iron Man legacy, but the superpowers are definitely more important. Soaring over the skies of Los Santos, raining down missiles and lasers on your enemies is what being Iron Man in GTA 5 is really about. This script by genius modder JulioNIB is what makes it possible. This isn’t some hastily put-together mod but an extensive gameplay overhaul introducing new abilities, weapons, and even a custom HUD. Los Santos has a new defender – or a new tyrant. Your choice!
