But since it takes approximately three hours for you to reach late-game and start shredding everyone, you need a good skin to keep you occupied. For this ranking we’re taking a look at her whole skin catalogue to see which ones stand above the rest.
7. Mythic Cassiopeia
Released: July 18th, 2012 Price: 975 RP This skin definitely had the right idea going on – but flopped in execution. Giving Cassiopeia a more ancient Greek look makes perfect sense, taking her design into account. And it really cements those Medusa influences. But Riot didn’t do enough here. Mythic Cassiopeia is just a simple character model change with no new animations or particles. The character model is cool, don’t get me wrong. But considering the price of this skin, I expected a bit more bang for my buck. Especially since there are 520 RP Cassiopeia skins that get a lot braver with their design. So I would only recommend tis if you’re a die-hard history/ancient Greek mythology fan.
6. Siren Cassiopeia
Released: December 14th, 2010 Price: 520 RP Although this skin is way more appropriately priced compared to Mythic Cassiopeia, I still expected a bit more here. It’s a character model change that has Cassiopeia take to the seas, gills and all. And the character model looks pretty nice, especially her head-piece and gill collar. But Riot could have done a lot more. At the very least they should have given her some type of fins at the end of her tail, that way she’d look a bit more aquatic! Plus her base animations and particle effects just seem a bit wonky with this new character model. If they just recolored the particles from green to blue, I probably would have placed this skin slightly higher. But for now Siren Cassiopeia gets a meh/10 score from me.
5. Eternum Cassiopeia
Released: September 20th, 2017 Price: 1350 RP If you like cool and flashy skins, Eternum Cassiopeia is definitely the pick for you. Everything about this skin is bright, edgy, and intimidating. The character model looks absolutely amazing, with a nice cybernetic feel to the design, incorporating some rough metal pieces and an electrifying red underbelly. There are even some nice particles that constantly pulse throughout your body, which is an extra little touch. Likewise, the ability particles have all been redone to feature a more metallic red & black aesthetic. And your backing animation is just straight out of a horror movie. However, this skin is only top tier if you really like flashy bright skins. So I can’t say it’ll be everyone’s cup of poison.
4. Jade Fang Cassiopeia
Released: February 8th, 2013 Price: 975 RP This design is very simple and very effective. I can’t really say that there’s an obvious main aesthetic to the skin (besides the color jade), but it does fit in together nicely. Your top half has been made to look a bit more human, but then balanced out by putting two snakes on your head. You’re also given some nice stylized armor and slightly cleaner particles. The splash art is nice too, and the price is reasonable. Plus the actual “end-product” from this skin doesn’t really have any glaring mistakes. But it also doesn’t have a lot of extras to leave you saying “wow” – which is why I decided to place it just short of the top few spots.
3. Coven Cassiopeia
Released: August 12th, 2021 Price: 1350 RP Coven Cassiopeia does some things extremely well, but also made a few big oopsies. Let’s start from the positives. This skin features probably my favorite character model out of the entire bunch. It just nails that “rich, beautiful, powerful and dangerous” aesthetic that I associate with Cassiopeia. Especially when taking the backing animation into account. And the splash art is also really nice, plus even the voice filter suits the overall theme really well. However, Riot somewhat dropped the ball when it came to the ability particles. For the most part, all the ability animations look like recolors of the base skin – with the exception of the W, which looks like a Spirit Blossom knock-off. I really do love this skin. But I also have to admit that such lazy oopsies cannot be forgiven.
2. Desperada Cassiopeia
Released: December 14th, 2010 Price: 520 RP Even though this is one of Cassiopeia’s first skins, it is arguably among her best. Especially if you don’t want to break the bank. Desperada Cassiopeia is a simple character model redesign, but the base particles fit the theme so naturally that it doesn’t really matter. This skin just has you put on a cowboy hat and a killer gown, and somehow it’s everything Cassiopeia mains ever needed. The design is clean, it’s cool, and it’s concise. And it’s cheap. I also love how the splash art is just Cassiopeia throwing a snake at someone. Eat your heart out High Noon, the Desperada have come to town!
1. Spirit Blossom Cassiopeia
Released: August 6th, 2020 Price: 1350 RP I usually don’t insist on bells and whistles all that much, but boy does this skin have them. The character model here is probably slightly below “Coven Cassiopeia” in my opinion, because it does look a bit too timid for a crazy snake lady. But the ability animations more than make up for it. And Spirit Blossom Cassiopeia is the only skin that got a bit more creative with the Q animation, now featuring a little flower design as it pops. It’s the original skin to use the W flower particles, and it has the cleanest E animation out of everything in Cassiopeia’s arsenal. I do think that the ultimate animation isn’t as impressive as the ones for the base abilities, but it’s good enough to allow this skin to sit in first place.
