From the very first game onward, there was always some pursuit for your athletic Sims to get moving and into shape. The activities available to your Sims has definitely been expanded over the years. But one thing that has almost always been left out is golfing. Eagle-eyed players may have noticed that there’s a neighborhood in Newcrest with a golf course as background scenery, but you can’t actually go over there or play the sport. So, the Simmer community has had to step in with some fantastic custom content. Golfing is one of the most popular pastimes in real life, and there are a few ways your Sims can be golfers, too.
Golf Cart
Check Out This CC Unless I’m mistaken, golf is the only sport where you get to use a vehicle to get you from one point of the game to the other. It’s pretty great. If you ask some people, golf carts are half the fun. Those people probably aren’t huge golfers, though. Creator 13pumpkin took the golf cart from The Sims 2 and converted it for use in The Sims 4, for you to use as a prop or decoration whenever, wherever. It has really nice details, from the wheels to the seats. And it comes in 45 swatches, including animal print, so… your Sim is set for life as far as their golf cart needs go.
Let’s Play Golf Posepack
Check Out These Poses Using poses will honestly change your entire Sims experience. They are truly an amazing type of mod that will allow you to setup scenes that you otherwise would never get to see. There are thousands of them out there, for everything from family photos to amusement park poses – and now, some even for golfing! The cool thing about poses is that you often get some props along with them. Obviously, we as humans aren’t always just standing in a void with nothing in our hands. So creators go the extra mile to make their poses realistic. This set includes poses for both solo Sims as well as the whole family. A few show a Sim getting ready to putt, and the golf club and ball are included in this set! You’ll just have to place them where you’d like, then boom! Perfect photo op. You can also use a pose with the golf cart listed above. It’s made for two adult Sims and one child, and it’ll really look like the family is going for a ride.
Oasis Terrace Mini Golf
Check Out This CC Simmers always know how to make something out of nothing. Certain ideas clearly weren’t even a thought when this game was being developed – like golf courses. That still hasn’t stopped players from making them. This lot, intended to be a course for mini-golf, will be a great place to get your Sims out of the house for a day. Of course, even modders can only take things so far. So your Sims won’t actually be doing any golfing. Yet it’s still an awesome creative little park. As the name suggests, it was built for Oasis Springs. So the bright desert scenery really makes everything pop, from the walkways to the ponds.
Tucked Polo Shirts
Check Out This CC It’s a little-known fact, but many golf courses actually won’t let you play unless you’re wearing a tucked polo shirt. OK that’s not at all true. I just completely made it up. But if you’ve ever been to a golf course or watched tournaments on television, it sure seems this way! Every sport has a dress code or uniform, and some are a lot more lenient than others. Golfers have a variety of things they can wear, but it’s all a little posh. Polo shirts are especially a popular choice, since they give a tidy appearance. These polo shirts from McLayneSims are just the kind of thing your Sim needs if you want him to look like a golfer. They have colorful designs and patterns, and most importantly, will have a tucked appearance when your Sim is wearing pants or shorts.
Golf Sweater
Check Out This CC If you love golf, you’ll have to take what you can get to express that in The Sims 4. One fast surefire way to do that is to give your Sim a sweater with the word ‘golf’ all over it in big, bright letters. Some things, you just never expect to see. And yet creators make it happen. These are actually based on real sweaters worn by members of the band BTS and I’m not sure how much they actually have to do with the sport…but hey, they’re pretty! Both male and female Sims can wear these, and there are two simple swatches: A yellow one with blue lettering, and a blue one with red lettering.
