Med-kits can become unusable and other players may not always be the most reliable when it comes to healing. In those situations, Inner Healing can allow you to take your health into your own hands. Just cleanse a totem, cry in a locker for a few seconds, and you’re good as new! Here’s the breakdown for exactly how and when the Inner Healing perk is helpful. I’ll also let you know what you need to do to get your hands on it.
What Does Inner Healing Do?
In Dead By Daylight matches, teamwork makes all the difference. When all of the survivors are working together, they stand a great chance of besting the killer and escaping the match alive. That said, there are some moments when the group can’t quite pull together the way you need them to. Maybe you’re playing with people you don’t know, or perhaps there are some new players who haven’t gotten a handle on the teamwork aspect just yet. Whatever the case may be, you need to be able to stand on your own when times get tough. Inner Healing is a perk that allows you to get much-needed healing when you have no other options. When activated, it allows you to heal yourself for a single health state. Although it doesn’t work while you’re in the dying state, it can help if you’re injured or suffering from the Deep Wound effect. Survivors with a Deep Wound will not be healed completely – but will return to only being injured. You’ll need to use this perk twice if you want to get from Deep Wound all the way back to a healthy state.
How To Use Inner Healing
Inner Healing needs to be activated before it can be used. To activate it, you’ll have to be able to locate one of the totems on the map and cleanse it. Once you’ve finished cleansing the totem, Inner Healing will become available to use the next time you need it. Personally, I recommend cleansing a totem as soon as you have a convenient opportunity to. That way it will be available when things really start getting messy. There may be plenty of survivors and med-kits early on, but by the end of the game, your resources can get a little sparse. You also never know who else might need to cleanse totems. There may not be any left by the time you’ve realized that you need it!
Can You Use Inner Healing More Than Once?
Unlike some of the other perks out there, Inner Healing can actually be used more than once during a match. The only catch is that each time you want to use it, you’ll need to find another totem to cleanse. That can take some effort, so it’s a good idea to rely on a med-kit or the help of other survivors before trying to rely only on this perk.
How To Get The Inner Healing Perk
Although Inner Healing started out as a Teachable Perk, it’s now categorized as a general perk. This is a great benefit because it means any character can have the opportunity to obtain Inner Healing without taking any extra steps. You won’t have to worry about spending shards at the Shrine of Secrets or leveling up characters you may not normally play in order to unlock it. Just level up your favorite characters as you normally would, and sooner or later you will likely spot Inner Healing in the bloodweb.
