The Ananta Tribal Quests are also part of the Tribal Quests for the Stormblood expansion, so you’ll need to finish certain Main Scenario Quests (MSQs) in this expansion before the questlines can be unlocked. Let’s go through all the quests you need to complete below:

Quick Step-by-Step Unlock Guide

Detailed Unlocking Guide

The Ananta Tribal Quests are daily quests released in patch 4.2 of the Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood expansion for leveling up Disciple of War or Magic jobs. This tribe requires two separate questlines from two different NPCs to be completed before it can be unlocked. You’ll also need to finish each questline’s prerequisite Main Scenario Quest (MSQ) before they become available:

Serpent Marshal Brookstone’s questline: Complete the Level 61 MSQ “Divide and Conquer” from Conrad in Rhalgr’s Reach (X:9.4, Y:10.8). M’razh Nunh’s questline: Complete the Level 67 MSQ “The Silence of the Gods” from Vajra in The Fringes (X:31.6, Y:16.6).

After finishing the required MSQ, you’ll need to go through a total of nine quests before “Brooding Broodmother” becomes available. You can find both NPCs in The Fringes.

Ananta Tribal Quests

Once you finish both questlines, talk to M’razh Nunh again in The Fringes (X:30.2, Y:25.7) and accept the quest “Brooding Broodmother.” This quest marks the start of the Ananta Tribal Quests’ main story. The story follows the Ananta named Alpa as she prepares for her new life as a future brood mother. The Ala Mhigan Resistance seeks to repurpose Castellum Velodyna after recently retaking it from Garlean hands. Alpa volunteers for the task and establishes the Velodyna Gatekeepers in the Castellum, hoping to prove to her mother that she’s ready to start her own family. The main story has six quests you’ll need to complete to unlock all the rewards for this tribe. Note that each quest will only be unlocked after capping your reputation points for each tier with the Velodyna Gatekeepers.

Daily Quests

The Ananta Daily Quests allow you to level up your Level 60-70 Disciple of War or Magic jobs quickly because of the experience they give. If you have combat-based jobs in that level range, make sure you pick up your three daily quests from Eshana in The Fringes (X:20.9, Y:26.1). You can accept a new batch of quests every 11 AM EST (or 8 AM PST). New quests can’t be accepted until you finish the ones from the previous day. These quests also count toward your daily tribal quest limit of 12, so plan out your allowances if you’re doing other daily tribal quests. Additional quests are added every time you level up your reputation with the tribe. There are no restrictions on what type of daily tribal quests you can pick with your allowances. You can mix Disciple of War or Magic quests (such as the Ananta) with Disciple of Hand or Land quests (such as the Namazu). You’re also free to accept daily tribal quests from different expansions at the same time.

Quest Sync

Starting from the Heavensward expansion, daily tribal quests will sync to your level upon accepting them. This feature syncs your experience gain and the difficulty of monsters you’ll face to your level. Remember that the intended level range for the Ananta Daily Quests is 60 to 70. If you do these daily quests with a Level 71 or above job, your experience gain will be capped at a low rate. At that point, it’d be better to do the daily quests of the tribes intended for the Level 70 to 80 range (Qitari). You’ll also need to complete the quest with the same job you accepted it with.

Rewards

You’ll receive three unique rewards upon completion of the Ananta Daily Quests, along with Gil and Experience:

60 Ananta Relations 1 Ananta Dreamstaff 15 Allagan Tomestones of Poetics

Ananta Relations increase your reputation with the tribe, and Ananta Dreamstaves are traded for extra rewards.

Ananta Dreamstaff Exchange

You can spend your Ananta Dreamstaff currency with Madhura in The Fringes (X:20.9, Y:26.1) for different rewards. Each item has a “Reputation Requirement” that you need to reach before they become available:

Reputation

Doing the daily quests is the only way of increasing your reputation with the Velodyna Gatekeepers and unlocking better rewards. You need to gather enough “Ananta Relations” to unlock the latest main story quest and level up your reputation with the tribe. Leveling up your reputation will also unlock new daily quests. Assuming you do the three daily quests, you’ll get 180 Ananta Relations per day. It takes 31 days to reach the “Bloodsworn” Reputation, the maximum level you can have outside “Allied”.

Getting “Allied” Reputation

To get the “Allied” Reputation with the Ananta Tribe, you need to complete a questline involving all the tribes from the Stormblood Expansion. This questline will only be available after you reach the “Bloodsworn” Reputation for the three Stormblood tribes: Kojin, Ananta, and Namazu. You’ll also need to finish the MSQ “Stormblood” from Pipin in The Lochs (X:32.6, Y:22.9). This is the final MSQ for Patch 4.0 of the Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood expansion, so you’ll need to finish every quest leading up to “Stormblood” beforehand. Once you’ve capped all three tribes, talk to the East Aldenard Trading Company Assistant in Kugane (X:13.1, Y:9.7) and accept the quest “The Ananta Maid’s Tail”. This questline has four quests you’ll need to complete: After finishing “What a Wonder-full World” and completing the questline, your reputation with all three tribes will level up to “Allied”. You’ll also get the achievement “West Meets East” and its corresponding title reward: “Kageyama Killer”. And you’ll also unlock the Gratuity emote. Spread the wealth with your friends!
