But high-level characters can farm Insight to then get an infinite supply of pellets, all in a few simple steps: We’ll cover exactly how to complete this process in our step-by-step guide below.
Step 1: Finding the Upper Cathedral Key
The quest to unlock Beast Blood Pellets starts in Yahar’gul, Unseen Village. Warp to the Lamp of the same name to get started. From the Lamp, head down the small set of steps to your left, then turn left down the giant staircase. Be sure not to stop on this staircase, as you’ll almost certainly die. Enter the building at the bottom of the steps, walk forward, then turn to your right to see the exit. Head down the curving staircase here, then through the large hole that’s been smashed through the wall. Follow this corridor to its end and take out the Brick Troll, then look to the right of where the Troll once stood to see a cell door. Open and step through it. Once you’re down the small set of stairs, turn left and head through the door to leave the building. Turn right here, slowly walking down this pathway and looking over to your left as you do. You’re looking for a gap in the metal railing on the next path over. Take a mental note of where the metal railing is, then backtrack down the path you’ve just walked down. Climb the stairs to your right and quickly make your way over to the gap in the metal railing, carefully stepping through it before the enemies here catch up to you. Be sure to walk (not run or roll) off the ledge, and you’ll safely land on a hidden platform below the main path. Walk through the archway here into another dark building and be mindful of the hidden Troll to your immediate right. Take it out, then return to this archway. Ahead of you is a gap in a stone railing – drop off this ledge to find yourself in a cell with a corpse that holds the Upper Cathedral Key. Warp or fight your way back to the Lamp, then warp back to the Hunter’s Dream to continue.
Step 2: Collecting The Cosmic Eye Watcher Badge
With the Upper Cathedral Key in tow, warp to the Cathedral Ward Lamp. Walk down the steps ahead of you, then immediately turn right and head through the small door. Walk down this corridor until you reach an elevator then ride it up. Take out the Rifleman, then step outside to enter the Healing Church Workshop. Run across the bridge to avoid the gunfire, then head inside and deal with the enemies in this room. Head up the stairs and quickly turn left to take out the Rifleman hidden in the darkness. Once they’re down, head outside, turn left, and take out the Troll and Riflemen here. With the enemies dead, you can safely continue down this catwalk to find a ladder that leads you to the final floor of the Workshop. After climbing the ladder, follow the catwalk back around and head inside the room. You can deal with the enemies here or run past them to the corridor at the back of the room. At the end of this corridor is a once-locked door – interact with it to use the Upper Cathedral Key and enter Upper Cathedral Ward. Walk up the stairs to your left and cross the bridge ahead of you, defeating both enemies as you do. Light the Upper Cathedral Ward Lamp at the end of the bridge, then warp back to the Hunter’s Dream to replenish your Blood Vials. You’re going to need them. Once you’re ready, walk up the stairs ahead, then turn left once you reach the golden gates of the Choir building. Follow this path around until you climb a large set of steps, then look ahead to see another flight with an enemy at its top. Climb the stairs and be sure to kill this enemy before you pass through the door it’s guarding. Once inside, you’ll find a Brainsucker to your left. Take it out carefully before continuing onward. The upcoming section is the most dangerous part of the entire game, so be prepared for the fight of your life if you decide to fight your way through fairly. If you’re not above cheesing some enemies, however, I have some methods to get you through. From the Brainsucker room, walk through the door that leads to the rest of the Choir building, and aggro the Werewolf to your right. Quickly run back to the Brainsucker room to watch the Werewolf get stuck in the doorway. The Werewolf will never make it through the door frame, so you’re safe to poke away at it from the safety of the empty room. Once the Werewolf is dead, walk through the door and turn left, walking down the corridor until you see a door on your right. Walk through it and wait for two more Werewolves to come barreling up the curved stairs to your right. The moment you see them, backtrack past the door you just entered through to repeat the door frame cheese strat. Once these Werewolves are dead, you’re almost there. Head into the room with the curved staircase again and begin to slowly walk down the stairs. Halfway down the stairs, a final Werewolf will aggro and begin to chase you. Repeat the door strat one more time and you’ll finally be safe. Walk back into the room with the stairs and head down them to enter the main hall. Turn right and walk until you hit a wall, then turn left and walk down this wall until you see a large opening appear in the darkness. Head through this opening in the wall and turn right into the tight corridor. Kill the Brainsucker here, then look for a corpse holding an item. Interact with this corpse to pick up the Cosmic Eye Watcher Badge.
Step 3: Buying Beast Blood Pellets
With the Cosmic Eye Watcher Badge in your inventory, many new items will become available in the Hunter’s Dream Insight Shop. To find the shop, warp to the Hunter’s Dream, then enter Gherman’s Workshop straight ahead. Turn left out of the side door and then immediately turn left to spot the Insight Shop. Here you can buy an unlimited amount of Beast Blood Pellets, so long as you have the Insight needed to purchase them. Each Pellet has an asking price of 1 Insight. If you need more Insight, you can gain some easily through a variety of methods. Some of the more notable methods are:
Finding and killing bosses Consuming Insight-granting items such as Madman’s Knowledge Consuming the pieces of Umbilical Cord Entering hidden areas, including Nightmare realms Killing other players in PvP
