People throughout the world love them just because “dress” really is such a broad term. It could be referring to something floor length, super short, strapless, or of course open backed, as well as about a million different ways those could all be branched off of, as well. Even just in Create-A-Sim, dresses get a few different filters all of their own. Open back isn’t one of them – but it probably should be. This type of cut allows so much freedom and creativity when designing the dress, as you’ll find in this list of great CC.
Dark Backless Gown
Check Out This CC This stunning gown will blow all of your Sim’s other Formal outfits out of the water. That’s not to say that there aren’t plenty of pretty dresses already in the game – there definitely are! But creator Serenity has made something so beautiful here, it will be hard to top. The form-fitting structure will nicely show off your Sim’s figure, while the bottom of the dress even has a slightly sheer effect. It’s like the mullet of dresses. Er, what? Weird analogy, I know, but bear with me. See, it’s business and the front and party in the back. Things are all modest and covered up front but the back of the dress is a deep V shape, revealing most of your Sim’s back. Perfect reason to give her a tattoo!
Flared Halter Cocktail Dress
Check Out This CC Open back dresses can take many forms, like this one, where the only thing keeping it on is a strap around the neck. Simple, but effective. As long as it works, right? Such a style is not summed up so succinctly, however. This short little cocktail dress is cute and pretty, making it a great casual choice for summer. It comes in 35 vibrant colors that really make it pop.
Halter Dress
Check Out This CC Like the dress above, this is a halter dress. Whenever you see that word – halter, that is – you know you’re in for somethin’ chic and modern. And this is no exception. The creator has dubbed this a skater silhouette, and I don’t know if that’s a literal term, but this looks like a pretty versatile dress. Your Sim could do everything from roller skate to lounge in this, I’m sure. But what good is doing anything if you don’t look good while you’re doing it? That’s a rhetorical question. And a shallow one. The point is, though, that your Sim will look gorgeous thanks to this dress.
Fruity Dress
Check Out This CC It’s interesting that this creator, Veranka, has dubbed this CC “Fruity Dress” when there’s no fruit in sight. I can only assume it’s because of how sweet and refreshing it is! Or more likely, the colors. But we’ll go with my thing for now. There are few things I love more than belts with a dress, and the one here is especially fantastic. It is white, no matter the color of the dress, and somehow it just works. This one has some spaghetti straps and a nice, open and overlapping back.
Freya Dress
Check Out This CC This is like the triple threat of beauty when it comes to dresses. First, it would be silly to not point out how lovely the embroidered floral accents are. It’s such a simple thing, but they complement the rest of the dress splendidly. The length of this dress makes it quite elegant – it goes clear to the floor and has some lovely shading and gathering along the way. Lastly, the cinching around the middle makes it an even sharper look.
Mary’s Dress
Check Out This CC What’s really fun about the open back part on this dress is that it actually is tied back in a neat bow with ribbons. It’s such a nice feminine touch, and one you don’t see very often! It’s a rather short cut, and the neck is a unique style. All around, this dress seems very hip and trendy in all the best ways. Even though it was created a few years ago, this is the sort of thing thousands of girls would love to have in their closets. And if there’s anything Sims players want, it’s for their Sims to look as real as possible. You definitely won’t have any trouble making yours look as stylish and fresh as any real person with this. It’s also available in several lovely pink tones.
Skyscraper Gown
Check Out This CC Here we have another style that is quite, well… saucy. Hey, it’s a fitting term for a vintage dress. This beckons to past decades with the colors and most of the cut, but it definitely would’ve been pretty saucy to show so much chest and back several decades ago. Your Sim’s shoulders will even be visible. Gasp! Just don’t wear it to school and you’ll be good, dear Sim. All jokes aside, this is one fantastic dress. The cut in the bottom is lovely, allowing your Sim’s leg to peak out a bit, and the back is open in a dramatic V shape.
Embellished Tulle Gown
Check Out This CC I know I’m always going on and on about the colors and designs on CC clothes, but it’s impossible to not take a moment to appreciate the effort that must have gone in here. All four colors have a slight gradient-like effect, where the color is darkest at the bottom and gets lighter as you go up. The pink is my favorite. Just sayin’. Then there are gorgeous, lacy embellishments of flowers that start halfway up, and they also have a sort of fading, cascading appearance. It’s a wonderful, sweet ensemble, made even better by the band around the waist.
Jungle Mini Dress
Check Out This CC Animal print isn’t for everyone. Some people find it tacky or overdone. Well, those people are missing out. Because animal print is always bold, stunning, and a little sexy. Rawr! Especially in The Sims, where your Sim can visit the jungle (pack permitting). There is something so exciting and wild about being in the thick of nature, so why not bring that energy to your wardrobe? This leopard dress, available in 6 pastel colors, will indeed provide a little bit of ferocity to your Sim’s outfit.
Taylor Gown
Check Out This CC If it’s an open back dress you want, you can’t get one much more open than this and still have a dressed Sim. The front is a pretty standard strapless style, with a super long, silky gown. What’s really awesome about this one is the design of those straps at the back. They’re in such a cool criss-crossing pattern that at first glance, you might not even realize how uncovered the back is. Just imagine the tan lines those would leave… ah, if only.
