One of my favorites is AP Miss Fortune, as I can feed upon my enemy’s anger when I pelt them with my E, chunking their HP and slowing them at the same time. And since I spend most of my time in the backline waiting for my E cooldown, I want to have something nice to look at. Skins can help with that. So let’s check out all of Miss Fortune’s skins, ranking them all based on quality and price, so you too can look dashing while making someone rage-quit.
16. Lunar Beast Miss Fortune
Released: February 4th, 2021 Price: Event Exclusive I want to start off with this skin, as it makes me incredibly salty. Don’t get me wrong, the skin is absolutely amazing. It features a completely original walking/running animation where Miss Fortune just rolls around – and even her guns were given quite the aesthetic makeover. However, it is a Wild Rift exclusive. And it can’t be bought for regular League of Legends regardless of how much money you throw at loot boxes. Considering that there’s an entire Change.org petition surrounding the matter, I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in this feeling. So out of pure spite, I’m ranking this skin at the very bottom.
15. Waterloo Miss Fortune
Released: September 8th, 2010 Price: 520 RP I can’t get too mad at this skin, with it being so cheap and all. But Riot could have tried a bit harder. The skin just “transforms” her from a pirate captain to a normal captain. And it isn’t even original in this regard. It looks okay in-game, and the color pallet is well-suited. But why is her hat so big? Like really, look at the darn thing, it’s massive. Makes me think she has an evil pirate mouse under there pulling at her hair. The design for her guns is pretty neat though, I will give it that much.
14. Pajama Guardian Miss Fortune
Released: November 21st, 2018 Price: 1350 RP With the exception of my boy Urgot, I really don’t like the Pajama Guardian skin-line all that much. It honestly feels like a poor man’s Star Guardian skin. Pajama Guardian Miss Fortune definitely fits this criteria, as it just looks like a knock-off. The base model just looks goofy for no real reason. And the animation seem more fitting for a different skin-line altogether. The splash art is pretty wholesome, but for such a high price I expect much more than that.
13. Candy Cane Miss Fortune
Released: December 14th, 2010 Price: 975 RP It’s no secret that Riot really cranked the sex appeal up to a 100 when it comes to Miss Fortune. You might even call her eye candy, pun intended. However, Candy Cane Miss Fortune just didn’t do it for me. Sure, the base model gives you exactly what it promises. But with no unique animations, the skin just falls apart. It honestly just feels like Miss Fortune was going to a non-PG Halloween party and randomly stumbled onto the Rift. So if you’re only looking for a good/hot base model, this skin might be worth it. But if you want anything more than that I would give it a pass.
12. Cowgirl Miss Fortune
Released: September 8th, 2010 Price: 750 RP Obvious name innuendos aside, this skin is actually pretty tame and simple. Miss Fortune has two guns, and cowboys/cowgirls can have two guns. And that’s all the connections we needed. The skin features no new animations – but it doesn’t really need any to begin with. The base model is pretty nicely done, with a rad cowboy hat and those classic Western boots. The skin isn’t revolutionary. But it does what it needs to do, and comes with a really nice splash art at an affordable price. So it can be a valid option if you like the aesthetic.
11. Crime City Miss Fortune
Released: November 1st, 2011 Price: 975 RP This skin is also just alright. The base model change isn’t anything too drastic – but it is significant enough to warrant a look. It makes Miss Fortune look like your stereotypical mob boss, with her suit and killer fedora, meaning that the base animations also fit in well with the theme. My favorite part about this skin is the way they designed her new guns – it truly just makes you scream “say hello to my little friend” whenever you press the R key. Again, nothing too special, but solid for what it is.
10. Star Guardian Miss Fortune
Released: September 6th, 2017 Price: 1350 RP Oh boy, I can already hear the mob kicking down my door. Although I generally don’t mind the Star Guardian skin-line, Miss Fortune just seems like a weird fit. Sure, her splash art gets all the kawaii points. And her backing animation is as anime as you can get. But I still find myself preferring the other 1350 RP skins over this one. The animations are very flashy, but not all that interesting. And her new guns look like toys rather than proper badass pistols. I am prepared to die on this hill.
9. Road Warrior Miss Fortune
Released: May 24th, 2011 Price: 520 RP So I’m a huge Fallout fan, which means this skin just got my attention instantly. It’s very simplistic in nature – but I think it does its job well. It gives Miss Fortune a more scrappy, post-apocalyptic look, with some tattered clothes, bandages, and a single spiked shoulder piece. Even her guns look like they were scavenged or built from different pieces. It doesn’t come with any new animations – but that’s hardly a surprise given its price-tag. And I honestly do recommend giving it a look if you’re a fellow post-apocalyptic genre fan.
8. Gun Goddess Miss Fortune
Released: March 22nd, 2018 Price: 2775 RP I just love and hate this skin so much that I find it hard to place on this list. If we pay no attention whatsoever to the price tag, the skin is phenomenal, in my opinion. The mech skeleton is just so nicely made. And all the animations are just so crisp that you can’t help but get Evangelion PTSD. I especially love the new W animation. It’s the only one in Miss Fortune’s entire catalogue that makes sense. Because when you think about it, all other MF skins just make it seem like she’s running faster through sheer willpower – while here we have visible jets boosting her speed. With all that said, the price is absolutely ridiculous. Sure, you can make the argument that it has multiple forms. But they aren’t nearly unique enough to warrant this level of robbery. If it was up to par with DJ Sona or Elemental Lux, I might have considered it. But being as it is, I would rather pay rent next month.
7. Secret Agent Miss Fortune
Released: November 16th, 2010 Price: 975 RP Usually I prefer badass/unique skins to blatant fanservice skins. But this one somehow managed to fuse the two together. Although it only changes the base model, this skin accomplishes everything it set out to do: Make you a femme fatale. And oh boy, the fatalities we’re going to have with this one! It gives Miss Fortune quite the upper class glow-up, while also showing enough leg to give a youth group leader a heart attack. It’s simple and it’s effective.
6. Bewitching Miss Fortune
Released: October 24th, 2019 Price: 1350 RP Bewitching Miss Fortune is just dope as hell, pun intended. Riot generally nails Halloween-themed skins. And this one is no exception, with enough bats particles flying around to turn a young boy into a superhero. Although a gun slinger seems like a weird fit for a witch, it honestly works somehow, as Riot took quite a few creative leaps when it came down to MFs signature weapons. They basically look like candles mounted upon fancy hilts. And that’s cool enough to satisfy my fantasy logic. The only real thing that’s holding this skin back is the fact that there’s a different spooky skin that simply does the job even better.
5. Captain Fortune
Released: July 30th, 2015 Price: 975 RP Sometimes simplicity truly is key. Although I criticized the Waterloo skin for not being very creative, I can’t really hold the same grudge when it comes to this skin. It just looks like the perfect base model for Miss Fortune as a character. You truly get that pirate captain badassery that comes with her lore. Her animations also look a lot smoother, further showcasing how it’s the perfect step-up from the base model. Plus the event that came with the skin was really well-made. I can’t put it too high since the following three are a bit more iconic and creative. But the Captain Fortune skin is definitely worth checking out.
4. Pool Party Miss Fortune
Released: July 13th, 2016 Price: 1350 RP When done right, joke skins can be pretty epic. So the second I found out that I get water guns, some nice shades, and a snazzy hat, my wallet got a bit lighter. The animations are all pool and water themed (as you would expect) and the splash art just looks like an influencer selfie, which always adds to the believability factor. And it’s not like I have to point this out or anything, but bikinis make for excellent fan service tools. Overall it’s just a very well-polished and fun skin that’s worth its price.
3. Battle Bunny Miss Fortune
Released: March 31st, 2022 Price: 1820 RP The best way to describe this skin is “polished and random”. On the one hand, the bunny aesthetic has nothing to do with being a badass gunslinger. On the other hand, it’s kind of cute though. So let’s get into some of the features that might make this skin worth it: The most obvious one (for me at least) is the new walking animation. It’s very jumpy and perfectly puts you in that chill headspace. Even your homeguard run is somehow goofy and relaxing. Your ult also now has a nice little overlay that both makes your ult feel impactful and showcases how many people you’ve killed. We stan an organized queen. And speaking of the ult, it’s actually your two bunny companions that do the shooting while you just stand there and laugh. At the very least, that’s quite creative. The skin also comes with brand new emotes (where the dance you do with the bunnies is the highlight), a new death animation, and a new respawn animation. The character model itself is extremely well-polished (to the point where you can hardly believe it’s a League champion), and there are six excellent chromas for you to choose from. However, I do have gripes with this skin as well. For one, the fact that a legendary skin doesn’t have more audio diversity for your ult is just disappointing. Secondly, some of the animations just feel lazy. You Q, E, and R just fire out rabbit heads. I would’ve preferred if at least the ult shot out carrots or something like that. Overall, the skin is very goofy and very polished. If you want a chill game, this is a really strong choice. However, it’s slightly underwhelming in some respects, especially for such a high price tag.
2. Ruined Miss Fortune
Released: July 22nd, 2021 Price: 1350 RP Now this is just a flex from the design team. The base model is absolutely gorgeous and all the animations are polished to perfection. The backing animation has you riding a fricking shark. And your Q, E, and R have this beautiful green tint that just really nails the Pirates of the Caribbean vibe. Plus just look at that splash art! When it comes to cons, the only real downside is that it kind of spoiled a lot of lore stuff – as well as the fact that we have yet to see whether this skin will have any longevity within the League of Legends community.
1. Arcade Miss Fortune
Released: August 12th, 2014 Price: 1350 RP If we’re talking about longevity, few skins can come close to this one. It was an instant classic that still remains relevant years later. It has an instantly recognizable splash art, and those nostalgic animations/audio effects leave us talking about the 90s. Personally, this skin is the prime example of how to make flashy animations fit in with the character, instead of just being distracting and/or annoying. So in conclusion: Arcade Miss Fortune is the most iconic Miss Fortune skin for a reason. And I strongly believe it’s the best one out there right now.
