But what if you want to take the adventure beyond New York? Los Santos is a bustling and exciting city where law enforcement can barely keep the peace as crazy criminals rob banks, steal airplanes, and cause millions in property damage daily. It’s the perfect place for a brave superhero to rise and save the day! Here are some fantastic Grand Theft Auto 5 mods that’ll let you do just that.
10. The Amazing Spider-Man Pack
Check Out This Mod The Amazing Spider-Man films starring Andrew Garfield are divisive among webheads for various reasons, but they have enough fans to warrant a spot on this ranking. This outfit pack features four suits with some added variants. These include the main Spider-Man suit from the films, the one from the Beenox-developed game, and a casually-dressed Andrew Garfield. All of these include masked and unmasked versions. In addition, both Spider-Man suits come with a black variant similar to the one worn by Tobey Maguire in his third appearance as Peter Parker in Spider-Man 3 (2007).
9. Classic Iron Spider
Check Out This Mod Seeing the Iron Spider armor in action in the MCU films was one of the highlights of the latest Marvel movies starring Spidey, but there’s something about the classic comic version that’s just cooler. The Classic Iron Spider suit is bright red and gold – much like Iron Man’s own power suits – and features only three mechanical spider legs for a unique asymmetrical look. If this somewhat campy version of the Iron Spider concept isn’t your cup of tea, you can always check out the more modern version as seen on Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War.
8. Spider-Woman (Gwen Stacy)
Check Out This Mod Few things have been as well-received by fans as Gwen Stacy’s Spider-Woman, introduced in the Edge of Spider-Verse comics back in 2014. Her popularity has only been rising since then, especially after her show-stopping appearance in the Into the Spider-Verse animated film. The colors, the hoodie, the athletic physique – it’s all absolutely perfect, and it’s perfectly represented in this fantastic mod for GTA 5.
7. Spider-Cop
Check Out This Mod Suppose you’re role-playing a cop with mods like LSPD: First Response or LSPD: Dangerous Individuals. In that case, you can make things much more exciting by joining the force as Spider-Cop. Part man, part spider, all cop, this bright blue superhero is exactly what the LSPD needed to stand a chance against the absolute maniacs that run Los Santos’ criminal underbelly. Note: This mod is a retexture of the Last Stand outfit from Marvel’s Spider-Man for PS4, so you’ll need to get that before becoming the Spider-Cop.
6. Spider-Man 2099 (PS4 Ver.)
Check Out This Mod Another fantastic addition to your super-suit collection ported straight from Marvel’s Spider-Man for PS4 is the futuristic Spider-Man 2099 outfit. Known as Miguel O’Hara when not wearing the mask, this Irish-Mexican geneticist from 2099 “Nueva York” accidentally replaced half his genetic code with that of a spider while trying to re-create Spider-Man’s abilities. He made his cinematic debut in 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’s post-credits scene, and he’s set to become a significant character in the upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse film. I can’t contain my excitement to see this multicultural badass in action – but for now, I’ll settle with fighting crime in Los Santos while wearing this flashy suit.
5. Spider-Man Trilogy Pack
Check Out This Mod Say what you will about how campy Sam Raimi’s original Spider-Man trilogy is, but the truth is, we all have a soft spot for Tobey Maguire’s Spidey – plus, the costume design was top-notch. This mod will let you take up the mantle of Spider-Man straight from Tobey himself by donning all three suits worn by Peter Parker in Sam Raimi’s trilogy. The first two are somewhat traditional renditions of the wall-crawler, and the third is the bad-ass black one we see after Peter bonds with an alien symbiote.
4. Venom & Carnage
Check Out This Mod Speaking of alien symbiotes, why don’t we get some to act as villains in this superhero-filled Los Santos? When it comes to Spider-Man villains, it doesn’t get any more hardcore than Venom and Carnage (AKA red Venom). These two beasts are capable of enormous amounts of destruction, and their appearance is worthy of the dark and twisted realm of Spawn comics. While Venom – seen here bonded with Eddie Brock – has seen a change toward the anti-heroic throughout the years, Carnage – connected to serial killer Cletus Kasady – remains an arch-villain. This mod introduces both characters in incredible detail and includes both “masked” and “unmasked” versions.
3. Miles Morales Pack
Check Out This Mod Miles Morales has proved to be a fantastic successor to Peter Parker as the Spider-Man since he first saw the light of day in 2011’s Ultimate Comics: Fallout #4. It’s not only about increased representation for dark-skinned comic fans, either. The writers behind Marvel comics have crafted a relatable but undeniably unique character we just love to root for – even more than the classic Peter Parker. This mod will let you dress up in Miles’ red-and-black version of Spider-Man’s suit – including versions from Future Fight, Into the Spider-Verse, and a couple others. You’ll even get the hastily put-together costume comprised of a hoodie, jacket, and black jeans we see him wear while he’s just getting the hang of his super-powers. This one is oddly fitting for Los Santos.
2. Improved Spider-Man Pack
Check Out This Mod I love mods that give the player lots of variety in a single download – and that’s exactly what you get from this Improved Spider-Man Pack. Along with your regular red and blue Spider-Man suit, this mod imports a Spider-Man: Homecoming suit, a black Symbiote-infused suit, and a dope Anti-Venom-inspired suit. With this mod, you could make a whole Avengers team out of different Spidey versions!
1. The Spider-Man Script
Check Out This Mod Easily the best Spider-Man mod you’ll find for GTA 5 is this fantastic superhero script by prodigious modder JulioNIB. This script allows you to swing around on spiderwebs and beat up criminals in an authentic Spider-Man style. You can do pretty much everything the heroic spider can, from small techniques such as immobilizing your foes with web and sticking them to a wall to great feats like slinging a full-size vehicle at police roadblocks or whatever you need to destroy. With great mods comes great responsibility (to have fun).
