And while on the rift, who better to pick that our good old Fiora? However, if there’s one thing commercials have taught me, it’s that looks matter. So how shall we make our Grand Dualist look her absolute best? That’s what we’ll be answering with this complete ranking of Fiora’s skins, taking into account what they bring to the table, and the amount of cash needed to acquire each new look.
11. Pulsefire Fiora
Released: May 14th, 2020 Price: 1350 RP I want to start off with Pulsefire Fiora as it was the biggest let-down for me personally. Although I knew what to expect from the Pulsefire skin line, this one just felt a bit lazy. It’s not bad in any way – but it also just feels like PROJECT Fiora, but with brighter colors. Plus, PROJECT Fiora has better animations overall as they’re easier to spot during a team-fights. The recall animation is really cool, and there were a few good design choices, but to rock such a high price for what feels like a rehash is just not going to cut it.
10. Headmistress Fiora
Released: October 26th, 2012 Price: 975 RP Fan service can always be fun, especially when done correctly. And I think this skin proves it. The skin looks really good on its own, and Fiora’s personality lends a lot to the overall experience. It even features some new animations and sound effects, namely that Fiora can break her ruler as an emote, and that her auto-attack sound effect sounds like a proper whack. I honestly can’t say anything that bad about this skin. My simp levels aren’t high enough to put it higher up on the list. Plus when it comes to somewhat funny skins with a hint of fan service, there’s a much better option out there.
9. Lunar Beast Fiora
Released: February 4th, 2021 Price: 1350 RP This is another skin that disappointed me a little bit. I like the overall color scheme, as it almost has a Kill la Kill vibe. And the splash art is one of the best Fiora has to offer. However, I found the skin somewhat lacking in the animation department. The recall animation was great and the emotes were solid, but the abilities felt weird. I say that because it reminded me more of a futuristic skin than it did a proper Lunar Beast skin. And for such a high price tag, I want something a bit more unique – especially considering how many times we have seen those “futuristic” animation effects while looking at Fiora’s catalogue. The Prestige Edition could be a cool collectable, but that’s about it.
8. Nightraven Fiora
Released: February 29th, 2012 Price: 750 RP I’m a simple man. So whenever I see a skin that just takes the character I like and makes them a bit darker or edgier, it gets the thumbs up from me. Especially when it’s also on the cheaper side. Nightraven Fiora fills that role pretty well, giving the base model a black and gold armor set with some reds thrown in here and there. It only changes the base model, so no new abilities here. But the skin isn’t radically different from the original, so it doesn’t really take you out of the experience. Overall a very simple and well-designed skin.
7. Heartpiercer Fiora
Released: February 11th, 2019 Price: 1350 RP Except for Varus, I don’t usually play with Valentine-themed skins all that much. However, to give credit where it’s due, this is a very well-designed skin. The splash art is amazing and the in-game model looks meticulously designed and colorful. The only real complaint I have has less to do with this particular skin, but rather with the skin line itself, as every animation is simply a heart. Be it the passive or even just her crit animation, a heart is bound to pop up. It makes sense for the skin and all, but I can only take in so much love while murdering people on the Rift.
6. Royal Guard Fiora
Released: February 29th, 2012 Price: 520 RP I’m a big fan of well-made budget skins. And Royal Guard Fiora is a prime example of why. Sure, it only changes the base model. But the skin stays true to Fiora’s character, and even feels more authentic to her lore than the base model. The blues, yellows, and whites all work very well together – and that hat is straight fire. The splash art also looks pretty badass, so I feel like you’re getting excellent value for a skin that’s only 520 RP.
5. Bewitching Fiora
Released: October 7th, 2021 Price: 1350 RP My opinions on this one are all over the place, but let’s start with the pros first. As a newer skin, you already know the character model is going to be extremely polished, clean, and have a handful of beautiful chromas to go along with it (Obsidian for the win). Furthermore, your backing animation is quite fun – it has you slicing and dicing a pumpkin and then bringing it to life. Also, the animation for your ult when you proc it is just badass. It feels like your own little slice of hell. But now onto the cons. Besides the ult proc, all of the new animations and particles seem tacked on. Like Riot just placed a bunch of bats and ghosts and then hoped you wouldn’t think about it. I also can’t say I’m a huge fan of Fiora’s new sword design in this skin. Overall, Bewitching Fiora is very fun and flashy, so you could have an absolute blast with it. But I would never use this skin as my go-to since it feels slightly tacky.
4. Soaring Sword Fiora
Released: September 27th, 2017 Price: 1350 RP This skin is simply dope. Although I know the Fiora main subreddit probably fought a few civil wars whether this was the best or the worst skin ever, I think it at least has to be in the top four. The in-game design is pretty slick, although not the coolest in the bunch. And all the animations are very clean. However, what pushed me over the tipping point was her recall animation and her Homeguard animation. I don’t know when Fiora became such good friends with Irelia, but sword gliding is just downright badass.
3. Pool Party Fiora
Released: Jul 13th, 2016 Price: 1350 RP Now this is how you do a proper gag/fan service skin. The designers and the animators took no shortcuts when it came to Pool Party Fiora – and I think it all worked out perfectly. Having her weapon be a pool noddle was already pretty funny. But having it also wobble around and make a hilarious whacking noise was even better. I also love how they configured her ult so that water balloons would indicate sides you haven’t procced, making a splash once you do. And don’t even get me started on the recall animation, as that never gets old. Overall a brilliant skin that deserves the price tag it has.
2. PROJECT: Fiora
Released: September 7th, 2015 Price: 1350 RP We finally got to the skin that I’ve referenced a few times in this list, PROJECT Fiora. The futuristic cyborg look is in full swing as the base model looks like a villain ripped out of a sci-fi movie, and all of the animations were made to go along with that theme. It’s also worth mentioning that this skin features arguably the most visible animations – so a lot of people see the skin as giving you an advantage, being that it’ll be easier to track your vitals and all. I don’t know about that, but what I do know is that the skin even features unique voice lines, giving Fiora the usual PROJECT robo-filter voice. It’s an amazing skin that’s probably in everyone’s top three somewhere.
1. iG Fiora
Released: April 23rd, 2019 Price: 1350 RP When it comes to skins created as a prize for winning Worlds, I’m usually a bit hesitant. I say that because the skins are usually tailored to the winning team and feel out of place in a regular League of Legends game. However, that was not the case with IG Fiora. Her design is absolutely impeccable, featuring one of the best and most badass base model designs, as well as some stellar animations. Her ult is the only animation that directly references IG. But even then it never feels out of place, as it’s on the subtler side of things. So no complaints here, this one is by far my favorite out of the bunch.
