And that only becomes more accurate when we take skins into account! But which skins should you get for the optimal spook-to-cool ratio? That’s what we’re hoping to answer as we count down all of Elise’s skins, ranking them all based on their prices, features, and overall aesthetics.
7. SKT T1 Elise
Released: August 17th, 2016 Price: 975 RP Skins centered around Worlds will always be hit or miss with me. And unfortunately, I can’t say that I’m too thrilled with this one. It does have some positive qualities, like some nice particle effects on Elise’s basic abilities, a pretty decent backing animation, and a rather unique spider form. But I’m not completely sold on the human form. It just looks a bit too urban for my liking – and it seriously takes away a lot of the edge that base Elise possessed. So if you’re a big SKT T1 fan, I’m sure this skin will rank higher for you. But it’ll have to go to last place on my list.
6. Victorious Elise
Released: December 20th, 2013 Price: Ranked Reward Victorious Elise is definitely among the better Victorious skins out there, but it’s also missing some of that spooky element that I so crave. The character model looks elegant and powerful, with well-designed and luxurious armor. And the spider form is equally as stunning. But I can’t say that I’m blown away. The particles are all nice for sure – but the backing animation is rather disappointing. Honestly, the biggest selling point for Victorious Elise is that it serves as a badge of honor, showcasing that you’ve been playing this game for so many years.
5. Death Blossom Elise
Released: October 26th, 2012 Price: 975 RP Finally, we get a properly spooky skin. Even though this is the oldest Elise skin, I have to say that it held up really nicely throughout the years. It basically just took everything we loved from the base model and just cranked it up a notch. The spider form here is probably the highlight for this skin, as you become completely white, with a blue tint going over your body and a flower bud replacing your abdomen. It looks extremely cool, and gives off a vibe that you’re a cursed soul looking for revenge. The base model for the skin is also good too. And the particles are pretty as well. But they honestly pale in comparison to the beauty of the spider form. The only reason I’m not placing this higher up on the list is because the rest of her skins have more than just one thing going for them.
4. Withered Rose Elise
Released: February 10th, 2022 Price: 1350 RP Getting an Elise skin in the year of our lord 2022 was definitely a surprise. However, I was slightly underwhelmed. The skin itself is pretty good – no doubt about it. But it’s basically just an updated version of Death Blossom. The spider form has that same flower design, only in darker colors. And as far as ability animations are concerned – there’s nothing to really make it stand out. This isn’t to say that the skin is bad in any way. In fact, it’s quite nicely polished and the human form looks appropriately spooky. But I was expecting a bit more effort after the two-year waiting period.
3. Blood Moon Elise
Released: January 8th, 2015 Price: 975 RP The Blood Moon skin line is honestly always a safe bet when it comes to quality. And Blood Moon Elise is no exception. First off, the splash art alone is worth all of my life savings. Secondly, this skin has such strong Demon Slayer vibes that I feel like fangirling over it. And thirdly, it does have some stunning effects. The human character model looks elegant but deadly, the spider form looks like a spawn from Hell, and the backing animation just makes me feel uneasy, which is how Elise should make one feel. I think this skin is your best bet if you don’t want to spend too much money for personalization. But it does pale in comparison to the skins above it.
2. Super Galaxy Elise
Released: October 16th, 2017 Price: 1350 RP The Evangelion-style look and feel of this skin truly caught me by surprise – and I must say that I’m thrilled with the aesthetic. Especially with the spider form, as it unironically looks like a destroyer of worlds. The color palette, the drill in the back, the rough mechanic design, it all just works wonderfully. The human form is also very intimidating too – and nice to look at as well. Plus all of the new particles fit the theme well. And the backing animation also makes me feel a different kind of way. This is the part where I would usually discuss the downsides, but this skin honestly doesn’t have any. So this skin only lost to the number one spot by a thin margin – and even that had more to do with background stuff rather than the design itself. But all things being equal, if you like robotic skins and want to pick up Elise, I highly recommend getting this skin as well.
1. Bewitching Elise
Released: October 22nd, 2020 Price: 1350 RP Bewitching Elise represents a major success story among Elise mains – they successfully made Riot redesign the spiderlings to better fit the skin theme and splash art. And that little change definitely makes this skin top-tier. The splash art is just a standalone work of art, the particles are all clean, and the new animations are to die for. Your spiderlings are now little pumpkins, which is equal parts adorable and terrifying. Plus your human form E has one of my favorite animations out of the bunch – and your spider recall animation is the only unique spider backing animation in Elise’s entire catalogue. Even the chromas are pretty top-tier! And all of this is without even mentioning the fact that the Bewitching skin line just fits Elise like a glove thematically. Overall, this is a must-buy.
