Tractors are great. But, as much as we don’t like to admit it, they are limited. Yes, they’re incredibly versatile, and come with all kinds of different attachments, but they belong in the fields. Sure, you can use them to haul goods around your map. But just because you can do something, it doesn’t mean that you should, especially if you want to avoid replacing the tires on your tractor every five minutes! The base game of Farming Simulator ’22 only has four trucks to choose from. But fear not budding truckers, as there are plenty of mods available to make life on the road all the more interesting. Note: All the mods on this list are available for PC/MAC, PS4, PS5, XB1, and XBS.
10. Mack RD 690 Turbo
Check Out This Mod Engine: 710hp Max Speed: 74mph Price: £95,800 Capacity: 49,000 liters Fuel Tank: 400 liters Now you can put a tiger in your tank, and look like a tiger as well! This mod has plenty of color options, including these gnarly-looking tiger decals. It has a hefty 49,000 liter capacity for carrying and tipping whatever you need to move, and a top speed of 74mph.
9. Fiat 682 N4
Check Out This Mod Engine: 179hp Max Speed: 37mph Price: £62,500 Capacity: 15,000 liters Fuel Tank: 400 liters For those who like old-school farming, this is the perfect truck for you. It doesn’t have many customizable options, except for color, and a choice of 11,000 or 15,000 liters of capacity. But, that’s to be expected with a mod that is looking to recreate a classic truck like this. It does, however, have the option of choosing a 1960’s style license plate, which really gives it that air of authenticity.
8. Man TGS Milk Truck
Check Out This Mod Engine: 640hp Max Speed: 56mph Price: £163,000 Capacity: 25,000 liter Fuel Tank: 600 liter Got milk? Got anything to transport it in? How about a tanker that can hold 25,000 liters of the white stuff? Well, now you do. This mod has plenty of color options, and a tasty 640 horsepower engine with a whopping 600 liter fuel tank. Your milk sure is going to go a long way! It also comes with English, French and German decals, and a choice of road or farm tyres. This is the milk truck you were looking for.
7. Mack R
Check Out This Mod Engine: 500hp Max Speed: 80kph Price: $80,000 Fuel Tank: 400 litres The Mack R is a classic, some would say legendary, truck from the 1960s. It was so popular that production lasted for forty years. It’s one of the cheaper options on this list, but don’t let that hold you back, because it has plenty of different configuration options. There is a range of interior and exterior colors, including several sticker settings. And, it includes several different wheel configurations. You can’t go wrong with a classic. Note: this truck will display as a “Mack Truck Superliner 6×4” when you get in it. Just in case you wonder where your Mack R went!
6. Man TGS 18.500 Kipper
Check Out This Mod Engine: 500hp Max Speed: 49mph Price: £279,500 Capacity: 49,000 liter Fuel Tank: 400 liter This tipper truck from MAN looks and sounds great. The engine sounds awesome, and the dump valve when you change gear sounds really authentic. And, the tipper and the cover animations are both top notch. This is great if you like European-style trucks, especially if you’re on a U.K map. It’s not the cheapest truck out there, but it has plenty of capacity for whatever you want to haul, and it has the horsepower to match.
5. Man TGX Transporter
Check Out This Mod Engine: 880hp Max Speed: 51mph Price: £205,050 Fuel Tank: 490 liter If you need to haul machinery, you can’t go wrong with the MAN TGX Transporter. No, it doesn’t come with Jason Statham to drive it, but the font on those window decals was clearly no mistake! This mod really is so much fun. The amount of configuration options is staggering, and allows you to really make this a machine all of your own.
4. Mack Super-Liner X
Check Out This Mod Engine: 1685hp Max Speed: 96mph Price: £141,000 Fuel Tank: 400 liter These next four trucks really pack some horsepower! With a 1,685 horsepower engine, the Mack Super-Liner X really is no joke. Something this big really does give you the impression that a train is coming. A road train! This is reinforced by the horn – it sounds just like the horn on a freight train. And, boy is it loud! It’s so much fun. Especially, considering that you can barely hear the horn on most vehicles in the game. There are also a ton of configuration options to play around with, including those bumper signs. You know, just in case you were in any doubt. Choo, choo!
3. AW 362 Cabover 8V92
Check Out This Mod Engine: 1800hp Max Speed: 59mph Price: £164,000 Fuel Tank: 400 liter Not only does this truck have great handling, but it’s also very responsive – there’s no waiting to climb through gears to pick up speed in this thing! And, what gearbox is really going to stop an 1,800 horsepower engine? Okay, it might look like Mjolnir on wheels, but that’s why I like it. To hell with aerodynamics, and fuel efficiency, this thing is old-school cool. Oh, and if you’re wondering why this truck seems so familiar, it’s because it looks just like the Freightliner FLA 9664 that the T-1000 chases John Connor, and the T-800, with in Terminator 2.
2. Roadrunner+
Check Out This Mod Engine: 1800hp Max Speed: 99mph Price: £161,100 Fuel Tank: 880 liter This truck really is amazing, and I’m sure some of you might be wondering why it isn’t number one on this list. It’s faster, more powerful, and has a bigger fuel tank than the number one spot. It also has an insane amount of configuration options, including cultured exhaust smoke! The engine braking sounds are epic – it sounds like a warp-core humming when you slow down! And it has rear wheel steering, which gives you a much tighter turning circle. But, how can a mod, which has had this much thought put into it, have such a disappointing horn! This truck screams “get out of my way”, but the horn doesn’t sound so sure. What they should have done is made the horn louder, and made it sound just like its namesake. Then it really would be king of the road. Meep, meep!
1. TLX Phoenix Series
Check Out This Mod Engine: 1582hp Max Speed: 90mph Price: £136,619 Fuel Tank: 600 liter Like I said: it’s slower and less powerful than the Roadrunner +. But, just look at it! And, it has a freight train horn, just like the Mack Superliner X. I think the Phoenix just looks more authentic than the Roadrunner +, which can seem quite cartoonish in comparison. There are also loads of configuration options to choose from as well. Not as many as the Roadrunner, but still plenty. You can customize your wheels, exhausts, colors, and sun visor. The mirrors are also functional, the windows go down, and there’s a fully animated dashboard. Even the engine sounds are custom – they were captured from real life trucks. And, the Phoenix logo lights up, which is really cool. In fact, the whole truck has custom lighting, which looks awesome at night. It also pairs up perfectly with one of the best mods available for FS22: the TLX X52 Tipper with unreal capacity. They were made for each other.
