But if there’s one thing we can all agree on, I hope it’s that players can never have enough when it comes to additions. Especially TES fans. If you’re still playing Skyrim to this day, that means you’re one of those hardcore fans that will probably get the TES VI pre-order as soon as you can. It’s likely you’re still trying different Skyrim playthroughs to this day, and one that every player seems to love is the true vampire playthrough. The main problem is that vampires do need some tweaks – even if you have Dawnguard installed. So I’ve compiled a list of mods that will enhance your vampire experience in Skyrim and take it to the next level. Enjoy them all and see what your vampire Dragonborn is capable of!
10. Vampire No Sun Damage
Check Out This Mod What’s what, you say immersive mods are your thing? Then check this one out for sure. It basically lets you take less damage under the sun when you’re wearing hoods or helmets, as well as any protective gear that might keep your skin from directly interacting with sunlight. It’s not OP either, as not all damage is removed. However you do take less damage to all your attributes when using extra gear!
9. Belua Sanguinare Revisited
Check Out This Mod BSR is the first total overhaul for vampires on my list. And it’s one that you’ll want to try out even if you have Danwguard installed. This mod has been highly touted as the best vampire mod in Skyrim, and it remains such for many users around the world. It tweaks basically everything from the base game, including the fear and feed systems. The mod also gives you access to customization tools of your own, so you can dictate how your character looks and acts while in a vampiric state. Scare people and enjoy an immersive progression system that puts Skyrim’s own vampirism features to shame.
8. Bat Travel Vampire
Check Out This Mod Now this mod allows you to transform into a swarm of bats to travel quicker, much as vampires did in traditional films and cartoons. And trust me, it’s fun. It looks a bit cartoonish and not as serious as other mods, but it’s still quite a cool addition to have in the game. Definitely worth at least trying(you can always uninstall, right?)
7. Lustmord Vampire Armor
Check Out This Mod One thing that I couldn’t miss on my list is a proper vampire armor to wear on female characters. Female vampires are some of the most popular characters in Skyrim (shocking, I know). And using the Lustmord Vampire Armor is going to take your experience to the next level. The set itself is as detailed as I’ve never seen, with some exclusive features that make it one of the absolute best armor mods from the entire community. And it has some additional surprises that you might want to check out – including explosive crossbow bolts!
6. Dynamic Vampire Appearance
Check Out This Mod This is a must-have mod if you’re looking for immersion as a vampire. It changes the way the face of your vampire looks depending on which vampirical actions they’re performing. Have you just sucked the blood out of an innocent? Watch the blood drip out of your vampire’s mouth for a while after feeding. Are you using the vampire night vision skill? Then watch how your eyes turn yellow and glow like never before. As if that wasn’t enough, your face will also change as you advance through the various stages of vampirism. Each stage has its own custom look, adding way more realism than you’d probably ever want to ask for. And it’s fantastic.
5. Royal Bloodline – Vampire Lord Perk Tree
Check Out This Mod The Vampire Lord in Dawnguard is easily one of the best additions ever made for the game. Turning into a Lord is absolutely awesome, and fear-inducing for all sorts of foes. But the skill tree does leave a bit to be desired. This mod aims to change that by creating a new skill tree for Vampire Lords that helps to enhance the difficulty of the game. Just a bit. It also gives the game some extra tweaks to further improve vampirism.
4. Predator Vision
Check Out This Mod This aims to incorporate the vision that Predator has in the movies into Skyrim. It does so brilliantly. Not to mention that vampires, werewolves, and Khajit will be able to use it. Basically, your character will be able to see clearly at night when you activate this skill, which will enable you to hunt like a proper night-dweller. This skill is a great complementary to for the classic vampire vision that Skyrim comes with.
3. Better Vampires Fangs
Check Out This Mod This is also one that you’ll want to install if you’re after deep immersion. I suggest you give it a go alongside the Dynamic Vampire Appearance mod, as they both create a much better image of vampires than what Skyrim and Dawnguard have managed to do. This one makes vampire fangs look far more natural by reducing their length and adding them to female vampires as well. The eyes and shape of their faces will also look much better with this mod installed – give it a go!
2. Sacrosanct – Vampires of Skyrim
Check Out This Mod If you thought that the other vampirism overhaul on my list was good, you’ll want to check this one out. Sacrosanct completely transforms vampirism into something much better by adding new perks, abilities, a new skill tree, and much more. It’s hard to list everything so this is one of those mods you’ll want to install and play with for a bit to really see what it can do.
1. Better Vampires 8.4
Check Out This Mod Better Vampires takes the first spot on my list because it allows you to tweak vampirism to your liking. And it offers a lot of tweaking. One of the reasons why many players don’t turn into vampires is because it makes you feel like you’re not in control most of the time. But this mod changes all of that. You can choose how easy you want it to feel when you’re a vampire, or how difficult you want it to be. It’s all up to you. Make it a challenging experience, keep it for a little while, or lower the vampirism difficulty and just slay everything. This is basically choose your own adventure, vampire Skyrim edition.
