Surely there’s gotta be a few characters that could take the W in a one-on-one, right? That’s what we’re trying to answer today as we count down some notable anime characters that are likely able to beat Killer Bee. And no, I won’t go for super obvious picks like Saitama or Goku. We want some close matchups.
10. Esdeath
Anime: Akame ga Kill! Although this clash of sword would be rather close, I think Esdeath would win in the end. In most scenarios, they’re of similar (if not equal) strength. But Esdeath has a better trump card. Killer Bee speed blitzes Sasuke and Esdeath keeps up with hax Akame. Killer Bee can blow away mountains with his Bijuu bomb, Esdeath can freeze an entire castle with a single attack. They’re also both war veterans and have been shown to quickly adapt and use unorthodox fighting styles: Killer Bee with his seven swords, and Esdeath with her cleaver use of ice weapons. However, Esdeath’s ability to freeze time is just too broken. And considering Bee’s general recklessness, he would lose his head by the end.
9. Mori Jin
Anime: The God of High School Jin is basically perfectly equipped to fight Bee in both of his forms. He spends most of the series learning how to fight and counter all types of hand-to-hand martial artists, and his Wukong awakening reminds him of his time dealing with literal giants. Using Nyoibo in a battle not only gives him the attack potency to fend off and damage Bee while in his Eight Tail mode – but it also gives him that level of flexibility needed to fight Bee and his seven sword technique. Although he might not look it, we have seen Jin get punched through several mountains without any issue, and seen him create massive craters with his blows. So there’s also some destructive power to back up his skills.
8. Nagato Uzumaki
Anime: Naruto: Shippuden I want to throw this one into the mix, as I feel people severely downplay Nagato. If we’re counting the Paths of Pain, then Killer Bee has a slight chance of victory. But if we’re talking about what we saw with Edo Nagato, it isn’t even close. He bodied Naruto and Bee at the same time while being controlled. You could say that it was because Bee wasn’t in his Bijuu mode, but I don’t think that would change much. His summons were casually tanking giant Rasengans like they were nothing. And if he focused all of his attention onto just Bee, he could overwhelm him. Not to mention that his chakra drain ability is extremely effective against Bee – as we saw how quickly Samehada sucked him dry.
7. King
Anime: The Seven Deadly Sins When King finally achieved his Fairy King mode and lived up to his name, he just became a power-house. With his Chastiefol now being able to split up into hundreds of individual blades that can all slash the enemy with extreme precision, I think even Bee would simply be overwhelmed in his base. And even when Bee transforms, the situation doesn’t change all that much. Since King can easily maintain his Pollen Garden, which we say tanking city-level nukes with ease, and control his Guardian, he can literally just spectate a Kaiju battle and wait for Bee to slip up and then stab him to death. Or blow him up with his Sunflower. Whichever comes first.
6. Ryuuko Matoi
Anime: Kill la Kill Ryuuko doesn’t often get brought up when it comes to versus battles. But she is an extreme threat. By the end of the series, I can pretty confidently say that she can beat Bee with around 6/10 difficulty. Her scissor sword can cut anything, so the Eight Tails becomes Takoyaki pretty quickly. And even without Sanketsu, Ryuuko can make her scissor the size of a skyscraper – so his size isn’t helping him all that much. In terms of speed, Ryuuko managed to get to outer space in a matter of seconds. And even her tenacity is off the charts, as she can instantly heal lethal wounds. So I guess this show can handle fanservice and versus battles!
5. Tatsumaki
Anime: One Punch Man Telekinesis just cucks Bee on so many levels. His skill with the seven swords means nothing if Tatsumaki can yank them out of his hands and use them against him. And even his transformation isn’t all that useful if she just lifts him up and lets gravity do its thing. Or she can do her best Madara impression and simply drop a meteor on him. In terms of the Bijuu bomb, Tatsumaki is pretty quick in the air and can pull up a barrier if the situation really calls for it. I’m pretty sure she can even just forcibly shut his mouth to interrupt the channel, or turn his head so he would miss. All in all, Bee is way more skilled as a warrior, but Tatsumaki’s kit makes most of Bee’s knowledge and skill completely redundant.
4. Sinbad
Anime: Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic The main thing that makes Sinbad so hard to deal with in a 1v1 is his Valefor Djinn Equip. With it, he can slow down not only your movements, but even your mind, so that you won’t even notice that you’ve been affected. And unlike Zepar, I don’t think this counts as a form of mind control or genjutsu, as it’s described as simply freezing the molecules around someone. The slow-down would drastically nerf all of Killer Bee’s hand-to-hand potency – and even his reaction time – while transformed. And then Sinbad can simply swap to Baal and bring out the big guns. We know for a fact that his destructive power rivals Bijuu bombs. But the fact that his attacks are faster and more spammable would likely lead to his victory.
3. Shalltear Bloodfallen
Anime: Overlord Sahlltear is just a beast when it comes to 1v1 combat, and would likely mop the floor with Killer Bee. In his base form, Bee simply couldn’t land any meaningful damage on Shalltear – as we’ve seen how much power it takes to even consider something a fight. While transformed, Bee is just countered to hell. Shalltear can instantly teleport whenever she chooses, so no Bijuu bomb or tentacle smack is ever landing on her. And her weapon literally has built-in life-steal, so what few scratches she does get, she can instantly heal up by just poking his giant tentacles. Her fire spells are also no joke, covering a pretty wide area and carrying some serious damage as well. Plus, she can make a clone that’s equally as strong as her, making an already desperate 1v1 into a 2v1. All in all, Killer Bee gets destroyed.
2. Rimuru Tempest
Anime: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Even though Bee is extremely unpredictable with his fighting style, it means nothing in the eyes of the super-computer Raphael. Within seconds, Rimuru will already roughly know how to counter each attack and what to look out for. So, he transforms. Well Beelzebub just counters the Eight Tails completely. I think that Rimuru could more than likely just absorb even Bijuu bombs, and if she manages to get hold of one of Bee’s tentacles, he is royally screwed. As a Demon Lord, Rimuru learned how to put up extremely powerful barriers that would negate any hope Bee would have of re-positioning or running away. Information truly is power. Well, that and hax abilities.
1. Yami Sukehiro
Anime: Black Clover I want to end the list off with Yami, and not because he’s the most likely to win. But rather because this fight would be the most hype. I honestly think that Yami would just barely beat out Killer Bee, and that their fight would be legendary. With his ki detection and mana zone activated, Yami could stay on par with Bee in a sword duel as well as predict large-scale attacks such as the Bijuu bomb. In terms of speed, I would say that they’re similar, with Bee reacting to Minato as a great feat and Yami dodging light attacks being at a similar level. However, the thing that would probably give Yami the victory is ironically his destructive power. While Bijuu bombs are flashy and obvious, a well timed Death Thrust is completely invisible, instant, and rather subtle. Yami could potentially even use Dimension Slash while Bee was charging his Bijuu bomb in order to cut the energy in half and decapitate him.
