The system is explained to you in a time where the game is throwing up tutorial windows every other second, so it’s understandable if you missed out. FATE stands for “Full Active Time Event”, which is an unnecessarily wordy way of saying “group event”. Completing these events can reward you with experience and gil at a basic level....

For instance, Xiangling is a free character who’s miles ahead of Diluc in damage. And since they often use the same teammates (like Bennett and Xingqiu), it’s always optimal to just use Xiangling. He’s an excellent pick for early-game players that don’t want to deal with building enough Energy Recharge, deeper game mechanics, and stricter rotations that often come with stronger DPS units....

This is because of her ease of use – even without proper rotations or attack combos, her teams will still deal good damage. So she’s an especially good unit for casual players. Outside of this role, she doesn’t work anywhere else. As a DPS, she simply lacks the damage, AOE, and consistency to compete with other DPS units in-game – especially against her fellow Cryo units that are miles ahead of her. And as a support, she doesn’t offer enough utility to compete with other supports. There’s basically no reason to build her – but of course, this is based on meta only....

However, she does face a lot of strong competition in her role. So it’s best to consider which characters you already have before building Rosaria. Still, she’s a great off-field DPS that actually works well with the competition she faces. For instance, Ayaka strictly deals more on-field damage than Rosaria – but Rosaria also works really well as her battery and off-field DPS. The same applies to units like Ganyu, Eula, and Kaeya....

However, it does compete with another craftable weapon called Prototype Archaic.
